In “Destilysion” you get absorbed into the pieces of a broken place and have to wander through them. A decision waits for you at the end. Depending on what you choose, you return to one or another version of reality.
The visual elements of the game are acrylic paintings, which were edited to become 2D textures in a 3D world. For each scene a different soundtrack was created and combined of various synth and piano compositions, field recordings and distorted noise. Sounds such as light switches being flipped, paper being crunched or a window being opened and closed were used as sound effects. “Destilysion” was developed with the game engine Godot.
