3D story adventure game for PC

In Destilysion you get absorbed into the pieces of a broken place and have to wander through them. A decision waits for you at the end. Depending on what you choose, you return to one or another version of reality.

The visual elements of the game are acrylic paintings, which were edited to become 2D textures in a 3D world. For each scene a different soundtrack combined of various synth and piano compositions, field recordings and distorted noise was created. Sounds such as light switches being flipped, paper being crunched or a window being opened were used as sound effects. Destilysion was developed with the game engine Godot.
It is recommended to play the game with keyboard and mouse.
Destilysion was part of the Hochschule für Künste Bremen’s Meisterschüler*innen exhibition “what is that invisible thing your arm is resting on”. The installation contained a wide projection of Destilysion with seating bags, a keyboard and a mouse in front of it, so visitors were able to play the game on site. The exhibition took place at the Weserburg in Bremen from June 28 to August 10 2025.
