glisten

Lightning flashes trough the atmosphere and roaring thunder shakes every particle in the water. The sky from which the storm was born lies underneath an ocean and creates a cave-like center inside the planet. I watch the lightning and feel its electricity travel through my body. As the storm passes and the clouds disappear, light shines through from the outside. It illuminates the sky and reveals a tiny moon at its core, the only solid entity here.

I leave the surface and dive down again. The water is warm and soft. I let myself get carried away and as I flow across the ocean, I hear a word echo inside of me. I cannot connect it to anything and ignore the urge to listen. The light of the stars from outside flickers through the second surface and creates shimmering rays in the water. There is no time here and no other organism. Everything is pure water. I am alone and as I get lost in emptiness, I start to disconnect from everything.

Darkness. A celestial body of transparency between two suns. They revolve around each other as a million light-years pass. An orb of weather between an endless ocean. The moon almost bears life but nothing can be born here. Everything breaks down to water or becomes a raging storm. It has been an eternity and nothing witnessed the origin.

Have I ever felt tears on me? As I reconnect, gravity lies heavy on my shoulders and I sense a deep solitude. The stars come closer at the end of day and golden light breaks into dancing structures, filling the water with a specific warmth. I have nowhere to go. The moon is empty and the weather has told me every story. The word continues to resound in me and I decide to listen.

Voidness. It longs to be. What do I long?
